A legendary Honda NSX from 1991 that once belonged to Ayrton Senna is heading to auction once again, just two years after its last public appearance on the market. The famous supercar, featuring chassis number T000233, was one of three NSX models delivered to the Brazilian racing legend as part of his early partnership agreement with the Japanese manufacturer in the 1990s.
Finished in a striking Formula Red exterior over a black leather interior, this particular vehicle was shipped to Portugal in March 1991 so that Ayrton Senna could utilize it while staying at his property in Quinta do Lago. Notably, the iconic driver even used this very car to commute to the Portuguese Grand Prix at Estoril.

Beyond just owning the car, the three-time world champion famously contributed to the final development stages of the NSX production model, convincing Honda engineers to stiffen the chassis and retune the suspension based on his precise feedback. The car's illustrious provenance is further cemented by its appearance in the 1992 documentary titled 'Ayrton Senna: Racing Is In My Blood'.
Sotheby's has officially consigned the vehicle for its upcoming London Auction in Belgravia at the end of October. Due to its incredible history and connection to the motorsport icon, the pre-sale estimate for chassis T000233 ranges between £500,000 and £800,000.
