Drama unfolded during the sprint qualifying session at the Singapore Grand Prix as Max Verstappen claimed pole position for Red Bull, beating George Russell of Mercedes-AMG Petronas by just 0.120 seconds.

However, the Dutch driver remained under investigation for a yellow flag infringement during SQ1, leaving him at risk of a grid penalty. The second row of the grid was locked out by Charles Leclerc for Ferrari and Oscar Piastri as the leading McLaren.
Further down the order, Lando Norris placed fifth ahead of Lewis Hamilton, while Kimi Antonelli finished seventh. Liam Lawson took eighth for Racing Bulls ahead of Isack Hadjar, whose fastest lap in SQ3 was deleted, and Pierre Gasly for Alpine F1 Team in tenth.
George Russell is currently 2 in the drivers' standings with 236 points.
