Isack Hadjar expressed extreme frustration over a battery issue that left him unable to defend against Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc during the Bahrain Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver mentioned that in the last couple of laps, he had no battery, which prevented him from defending against the Ferrari cars and ultimately cost him a podium finish.

Hadjar started eighth on the grid due to a penalty, but put in a stellar recovery drive to climb up the order, eventually sitting in fourth and gaining another spot when George Russell stopped on track. However, after the Safety Car restart, he struggled immensely with energy deployment, losing massive amounts of lap time in the closing stages of the race.
"Something was wrong, because I can't possibly be a second a lap slower now. Even compared to Mercedes, you know? The whole weekend we were quicker. And now in the race we're absolutely nowhere," Isack Hadjar said. He added his surprise at seeing Lewis Hamilton close a 15-second gap within a couple of laps when energy levels completely vanished on the straights.
Despite the late heartbreak that saw him lose a potential podium, the Frenchman salvaged a fifth-place finish. Isack Hadjar currently sits in 8 position in the drivers' championship with 96 points.
