Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc has completely removed social media applications from his phone to protect himself from the wave of negativity surrounding the team's difficult 2026 season. Speaking on the Beyond The Grid podcast, the Monegasque driver explained that constant criticism made it significantly harder to perform on track, particularly following setbacks at events like the Monaco Grand Prix and the Barcelona Grand Prix, where his teammate Lewis Hamilton secured his maiden victory in red.

The 26-year-old noted that eliminating these digital distractions allowed him to focus entirely on driving and physical recovery. Charles Leclerc acknowledged that the heavy wave of public negativity coincided with frustrating technical hurdles—including hydraulic, gearbox, and brake issues—which only added to the mental strain during the Maranello squad's struggles. Meanwhile, Ferrari has actively worked to calm the paddock speculation regarding team principal Fred Vasseur's future, issuing a strong statement of full confidence in his leadership.
