Mercedes has a new upgrade to analyse, but team principal Toto Wolff has turned his focus to Red Bull, who have shown incredible improvement. The Austrian believes the gains come from three aspects: the car, the development path, and Max Verstappen.
The Brackley squad is yet to determine if its recent package delivered as expected. Malaysia's conditions made data gathering hard, shifting the focus to the Singapore Grand Prix where Kimi Antonelli ran the new parts and George Russell used the old specification.
Red Bull introduced major updates at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix affecting the floor, diffuser, sidepods, and halo, which transformed their form.
Following wins in Malaysia and a dominant run in Singapore, Wolff shared his thoughts.

"You need to take your hat off to what Red Bull has done this season, how they developed the car, and then you put Max Verstappen in it," Wolff said.
Wolff also discussed the setup philosophy of the new upgrade, noting it requires a different approach compared to their previous machine as they look towards Austin to confirm its true potential.
Kimi Antonelli currently leads the drivers' standings with 340 points, while Mercedes tops the constructors' championship with 578 points.
