The final sprint race of the Formula 1 season produced plenty of chaos. Only 13 of the 22 cars reached the finish line, with George Russell's crash and the collision between the two McLaren drivers in particular providing plenty of talking points in the paddock. The race at the Marina Bay Street Circuit may have been less boring than feared, but drivers stress that overtaking was still impossible. Particularly on a partially wet track, there was only one racing line, making overtaking an extremely difficult task for those behind the wheel.

Lewis Hamilton suggested changes to the Singapore track, specifically mentioning the last corner, calling it as boring as Monaco to watch and suggesting a tighter hairpin turn to make it more special. "Maybe we need to change the last corner so we stop in a hairpin and we have a tight hairpin to go around," he explained.
He added that the current final corner prevents cars from following closely through the subsequent sequence of five fast corners. "That will make it even more special this track maybe," Lewis Hamilton concluded.
