Meanwhile, Aston Martin F1 Team driver Fernando Alonso has publicly apologised for his emotional outburst directed at Lewis Hamilton following their crash at Spa, insisting that his rival is a true champion and a legend of our time. Immediately after the opening-lap collision, the Spaniard had slammed his former team-mate over team radio, calling him an idiot who only knew how to start and race from first place.
Speaking ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso admitted he regretted the outburst in the heat of the moment, pointing out that remarks against British drivers tend to attract massive media attention.
The pair officially reconciled in the paddock on Thursday, with Fernando Alonso receiving a signed cap from Lewis Hamilton in a display of mutual respect.
