Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur has welcomed the public backing of his bosses and called on his team to remain united rather than point fingers and get distracted by outside noise. While Ferrari has enjoyed an upturn in form under the new regulations, Vasseur's position returned to the centre of media speculation following remarks by Christian Horner.
The media frenzy, particularly in Italy, prompted Ferrari president John Elkann and CEO Benedetto Vigna to issue a statement reaffirming their full confidence in Vasseur and his team. With Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc also backing their boss on Thursday, Vasseur said he welcomed the support and hoped a sense of calm could return to Maranello as the team focuses on finishing the season strongly.

Speaking at a press conference at the Bahrain Grand Prix — exceptionally held in Malaysia — Vasseur admitted that the relentless rumours created a distracting environment that made the official team statement mandatory. While Lewis Hamilton suggested that the surrounding structure could potentially use some adjustments moving forward, Vasseur firmly rejected the idea of finger-pointing, stating that it would be a huge mistake to lose unity.
"In the good moments, we are winning as a team. In the bad moments, we are suffering as a team. And I don't want to speak about a single individual," Vasseur concluded, emphasizing that the team is fully focused on bringing development updates and getting back on the desired competitive pace.
Charles Leclerc sits 5th in the championship with 179 points, while Lewis Hamilton holds 3rd position with 199 points.
